Embracing Abundance

This poem - and the image I conjured on first reading it - over forty years ago - is and will remain a perfect depiction of my struggle to recognize and trust the abundance of the Universe.

In The Artist's Way, Julia Cameron suggests that the abundance of the universe can be observed in the fact that the Creator creates with enthusiastic exuberance. There's not one design for a snowflake or one kind of pink flower - the variations are limitless.

So if I accept that we've truly evolved from whatever the image and likeness of the origin of our creation - then I'm going to have to trust - by going straight to the second stanza - and skip the doubt.

That's the gift of The Prosperous Heart. It's an invitation and framework for learning to stop doubting that one day we will look back on our lives and we will have had enough.

You’re welcome to join us for a weekly exploration of each chapter.

Groups offer a great way to ensure that we finish the twelve weeks of tasks and exercises that help us embody the lessons and adopt the habits - that lead to changes we internalize.

And surely - you’d prefer to adopt a shorter learning curve than mine. Start now and you’ll definitely beat the quarter-century it took me!
