Welcome
The change I encourage is to repair and restore your own sense of self and to bring those lessons and habits into an effort to repair and restore your world.
Whatever attracted you to this blog and my work, you are very welcome.
I hope it serves as an inspiration or impetus on your personal or professional journey. Its essence simply reflects the lessons of mine.
I now live a prosperous life, trust abundance and am, for the first time in nearly six decades at ease.
As a career and micro-business development coach, I have observed that the dis-ease or discontent we have all experienced from time to time has different manifestations.
Whether we think we need a new job, a new partner, a new house, or an entirely new life - it's rarely the answer.
What usually works best is a deep dive into how and why we got to where we are today. And no, not in the way of psychoanalysis - but Michaelangelo's:
In every block of marble, I see a statue as plain as though it stood before me, shaped and perfect in attitude and action. I have only to hew away the rough walls that imprison the lovely apparition to reveal it to the other eyes as mine see it.
Together, we examine the layers of armor we've added to the whole and wondrously creative child we began life as. We adapted by adopting ways of being in our families of origin, at school, on sports teams in academic settings and workplaces. Each of those adaptations served us well - at the time. But they may no longer serve us well.
And then we start to chip away at them, embracing new ways of being - one small change, one baby-step at a time.
I and many of my clients have found that work is best done in the company of supportive peers.
To that end - a large part of my work has been in creating communities and offering groups to provide the discipline, structure & support we need to make and sustain change.
And if you recognize the dysfunction of our social, economic, and political systems rooted in the dis-ease of our leadership, then we hope to inspire and empower you to challenge that leadership.
It's an invitation to personal, professional, and civic “servant leadership”.
